As tourists, do we capture images or maintain them? Are we beginning to have collective perspectives?
In recent travels, I often found myself focusing my photographic attention on the most evident landmarks and natural phenomena. But as I began looking around, I noticed that so many others around me were doing the same; some people, within a few feet of each other. Instead, I redirected my attention to these very people; taking photos of photos being taken.
We should feel challenged to take a picture that differs from our neighbours’, look for our own distinguishable perspectives; photograph the photographers and selfie takers.
